56% of the population of 66 million does not have access to safe drinking water.  The highest concentrations of people are in three major cities:

Lahore with a population of 2 million and Rawapindi with over 800 thousand are industrial centers.  Islamabad, the capital, has a population of over 200 thousand.  The country regularly receives foreign economical assistance which could make financing an OMI system a challenge.  The coast on the Arabian Sea in the Indian Ocean provides reliable wave heights of 3 to 5 feet.
