Japan

The Ministry of Health announced a multi-million dollar, 10-year plan to build sea water desalination plants along Japan’s coast.  The wave fields off the eastern coast of the main island of Honshu run from 9 to 13 feet.  These wave heights produce extraordinary results with the Ocean Motion International Combined Energy System.  Yokohama with it’s population of over 3 million has an excellent harbor with a shipbuilding and industrial center.  They have the manufacturing and

support infrastructure to easily install a system.  Osaka has a population of over 2.5 million and is one of Japan’s major financial centers.  It also has an important seaport and airline terminal.  Japan, with its excellent coastline and large coastal population, has the financial means, the interest in technology and the need for low cost reliable and non-polluting drinking water.
